Individual Therapy
Harmony Place offers a safe and caring environment in which feelings, needs and desires can be shared and heard. Exploration of personal meanings and beliefs can be understood, reality can be examined, rejected or accepted and dreams can be followed.
Individual Therapy at Harmony Place uses a variety of techniques for understanding the impact of experiences and ways of thinking, for expressing and resolving feelings and conflicts, for learning new skills and changing habits no longer compatible with current values and beliefs.
Harmony Place provides this individual therapy in a private, safe environment. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, the demands of home, work, family or day-to-day life, we are here to help you find healthy solutions.
Individual Therapy is a form of treatment provided by one therapist to one client, in contrast with group therapies in which four, five or ten individuals meet with one or two therapists at a time to receive treatment. In Individual Therapy, the therapist and you focus on whatever difficulties led you to pursue treatment. These difficulties might include, but are certainly not limited to: depression, anxiety, sexual issues, eating disorders, marital problems, difficulty coping with life stress, trouble controlling anger or general dissatisfaction in one or more aspects of life. Ultimately, any situation that causes an individual distress and/or interferes with the ability to perform optimally in one’s life (e.g. family relationships, work, school, etc.) can be treated in individual therapy as part of our residential treatment program.
Individual Psychotherapy acts as a catalyst for developing and expanding your awareness and insight, motivating you to accept personal responsibility for who you are and what you do, and integrating yourself into a unified whole.
The staff at Harmony Place work together to learn how to best activate the unused potential with the enormous strengths you currently rely upon, you’ll learn how to make the life choices that best honor who you are.
You’ll discover how to make specific shifts in the relationship you have with yourself, the relationship you have with the people who matter most to you, and your relationship with your spiritual power. In making these specific shifts, you’ll forge your path to a life of emotional and spiritual well-being.
